George, Zambia
George lives in a compound called 'John Laing' in Zambia - a slum area located in the south west of the center of Lusaka. Approximately 60.000 people are living there, but only one local clinic and two small schools in very bad shape are avaible in the area. There is no water supply or sanitation and the area often becomes flooded in the rain season because of the missing sewers. This makes the area an ideal breeding place for mosquitoes and malaria is a common problem as HIV/AIDS.
George is HIV positive and in his everyday life he faces challenges such as diseases and poverty. Problems which seems much more urgent and important than the thought of global warming. Watch the video about George and learn more about the challenges of today.
